Delete your Clarity Atlas data
Read this first
Most people using Clarity Atlas have no data with us to delete. The app stores your notes as plain files on your own device and sends us nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, and no profile. If you have never subscribed to Clarity Atlas Cloud, deleting your notes on your device is the whole job — there is no copy anywhere else.
The steps below cover the three cases where something of yours does exist on our side.
1. Delete the notes on your device
This is the only step most people need. Your notes are ordinary Markdown files that belong to you.
- A single note: open it in Clarity Atlas and choose Delete. It goes to Recently Deleted and is removed permanently after 30 days, or immediately if you empty it.
- Everything, on Windows: delete the vault folder. It is at
Documents\ClarityAtlasVaultunless you chose somewhere else — Settings shows the exact path. - Everything, on Android: uninstall the app. Android stores the vault in the app's private storage, so uninstalling deletes every note with it. This cannot be undone, so export first if you want a copy.
2. Request deletion of Clarity Atlas Cloud data
This applies only if you subscribed to Clarity Atlas Cloud. If you did not, skip it — there is nothing on our side.
To request deletion:
- Email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my Clarity Atlas Cloud data”.
- Include the Google account email you used to buy the subscription, so we can identify which stored data is yours. We do not need — and will never ask for — your encryption passphrase.
- We confirm and delete within 7 days of your request.
You do not have to ask. If you simply cancel your subscription, everything is deleted automatically after the 30-day grace period described below.
3. Remove yourself from the notify-me list
If you gave us your email address on this website to hear when Clarity Atlas Cloud opened or the Play listing went live, reply to any message from us, or email [email protected]. We delete the address on request.
What is deleted, what is kept, and for how long

Cancelling your subscription
Cancel through Google Play (Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Clarity Atlas Cloud). Cancelling stops billing and starts the 30-day deletion clock above. Nothing on your own devices is ever deleted by cancelling — your notes are local files and they stay exactly where they are.
